Women Prefer Manly Faces At Periods of Peak Fertility
Researchers at the University of Saint Andrews in Scotland (see http://www.firstscience.com/site/articles/perception.asp) have found that women prefer a masculine face when they are at peak fertility (at which time they are most likely to be interested in short-term sexual relationships), but when they are looking for a long-term relationship they find men with feminized faces more appropriate. My sister sent me this joke about this research:
Research has revealed that the kind of male face
a woman finds attractive can differ depending on where she is in her
menstrual cycle. For instance, if she is ovulating she is attracted to men
with rugged and masculine features.
However, if she is menstruating or menopausal, she is more prone to be attracted
to a man with scissors lodged in his temple and a bat jammed up his ass while he
is on fire.
Further studies are expected.
