Okra > 10 Feet Tall

In the Spring of 2005 I planted some "Aunt Hettie's Stays Red" okra seed, which I purchased at Victory Seed.  At the time, the catalog said that this red okra stays red when cooked.  It does not, and the catalog no longer says it stays red.  They now label it "Aunt Hettie's Red."  It is said to be a heirloom from Tennessee.  The catalog says it grows 5 feet tall.  The seed package says it grows 24 to 30 inches.  In my garden, all of the plants have already grown to over six feet in height, and pictured here is one which was measured at ten feet four inches on the 3rd of September.  Hmmm, I wonder if Jack got the seed for his bean stalk from Victory Seed.  By the time that the frost killed this plant in November it had grown to a height of 12 feet, 5.5 inches.
