Aerial View of My Property, Early Spring, 2005

My son is a geographer.  While working for the Town of Ayden he obtained an aerial photo of my property.  He was not able to capture an electronic image, but he did bring home a printed image, which I scanned.  Here it is:

aerial view of my property

I have circled myself, walking from the veggie garden to the back of the house.  Sol was able to zoom in and see that the person was wearing a green cap, my Ayden Collard Festival cap which I almost always wear while working in the yard.  On the north side of the branch you can see a maple tree in bloom, which indicates that this photo was taken in very early Spring.  There is not much to see in my veggie garden.  Towards the back end I can see the strawberry patch, and toward the front I can see the oregano patch.  Behind the garden I can see the walkway (the wall of an above-ground pool that we used to have when we lived in Rountree) between the veggie garden and my raspberry patch.  The square structure east of the veggie garden is the incinerator I made from cinder blocks.  In the driveway are my Chevy Malibu (now history), Silvia's Topaz, and Sol's junk-yard Dodge Spirit.  The pool behind the house is still covered.  Towards the road I can see my light blue phlox blooming and across the street I can see pink phlox blooming.  I am pretty sure this was taken in March or April of 2005.  Shame it was not taken a couple of months later, when my gardens would be showing off.
