One of the first steps in getting my car
ready to paint in 2000 was removing the vinyl top.
Once I removed the windshield. quarter panel and rear window moldings, the vinyl top peeled off in one piece. That may look like rust, but it's glue. I used a random orbit sander to clean that off, and you can see the shiny result at right . |

We also replaced a quarter panel skin
on the side that was damaged in a 1995 rear-end collision. |
